BMAF Review:

We return to the wizarding world created by Rowling for another tale involving Newt and his quest to learn more about the fantastic beasts that can be found in this alternate world.

The quest is first put on hold when the Ministry of Magic put a stop to Newt leaving London, however upon a break out involving dark wizard Grindelwald, who is set on finding Credence, the last in a long line of pure-blood wizards.

Upon learning this, Dumbledore asks Newt to go undercover and get to Credence first to stop Grindelwald becoming all too powerful and together they could abolish laws concealing Wizards and take worldwide domination.

Along the way, Newt will face up to his true feelings for Tina, as well as teaming up with old friends Queenie & Jacob.

BMAF Rating:

O How we wanted to love this film, and in general we do but it is just far too long and at times a real mess of trying to keep up with whose who and the storyline.

There are plenty of positives, Redmayne now slips into the Newt character with ease and Depp is a truly great villain. Law is a good Dumbledore, and seeing Hogwarts and the Rowling Wizarding world was great again.

The real highlight are the beasts, they truly are fantastic and we were especially pleased to see the return of the Niffler.

4 Star Review for Fantastic Beasts 2
An overlong and at times confusing script make Fantastic Beasts a bit of a letdown. Great performances from Redmayne & Depp, as well as some truly Fantastic Beasts, do save it and make it a worthwhile watch – 4 Popcorns
