Hi, thanks for stopping by (yes, that was inspired by Anchorman, because as much as I love my friends, family and pets, I have another love that I go back to consistently and that is film). Welcome to Barking Mad about Films!
So a bit about me, my name is Bill and I love a good film, especially a creature feature and ideally one with sharks in!
I tend to watch films alone, not that there is anything wrong with that, it’s just the films I really like and enjoy my amazing wife Veronica won’t give the time a day too!!
For her a film needs to be something she can take something back from due to her time invested in watching it. As an example it might give her an idea that she can implement in her highly successful mentoring business www.veronicapullen.co.uk or her wardrobe as the last film she saw at the cinema was Downton Abbey 2!
She certainly would not watch a film which highlights global problems such as a Sharknado or defending worlds from Aliens, evil Wizards, monsters, robots etc =)
Whereas for me a film has to just take me to another world or take me on an adventure. Cinema can take you out of real life for a bit and what’s wrong with that.
I love a good monster film but I can be just as happy with a romcom too. Veronica will just about watch one of those with me too!
Due to my wife not watching the films I like, or as she puts it ‘because she needs some quiet time’ whilst she trains or watches some educational programme, I can normally be found gracing my local Cineworld.
It is here you will find me giving my hard worked unlimited card another day out, or you can find me on the sofa where if I’m lucky, Teddy, my faithful Chihuahua will grace me with her company

A mention of our 2 founding members, sadly who have passed and this page holds a memory for them.
Our late cat, Lord Hooch, who could out grump the grumpy cat, and Pepper, the little legend whose barking inspired this page and, hence the Barking mad about film title for this page and blog.
Let’s be honest though, as much as I love our cat, purring about films didn’t sound as good (the pets are shown below)

I really do have no real preference for a film! I can and have watched pretty much anything, but what about you? Are you like my wife and like a film, which shall we say must not be a work of fiction? Or are you of the opinion there is enough real life on TV, I want to be taken away from it all at the Cinema?
We really would love to hear from you
