THE BMAF REVIEW:
This film without doubt will divide audiences with its heavy dose of violence, but the underlying story of how a man who clearly needs help with his mental health problems and horrific upbringing is ignored by the services made to help him and the world around him.
As he struggles more and more to make a connection, he spirals into a route that will see him eventually become the Joker.
This film will haunt you, outrage you and stay with you. You will feel for him for the mental health problems and the fact that he has no support for them but despite what outrage may want you to believe, you will never route for him as he spirals out of control. Joaquin is simply outstanding in the title role and deserves awards.
