THE BMAF REVIEW

We loved the first film and we actually liked the premise of the Amazon released pilot to a TV Show which was never picked up. It is a film we have watched on numerous occasions and even this year got to ride Blast Off, a theme park ride at Motiongate Dubai, based on the ride at the end of the first film.

Ready to DoubleTap
Bill at the Zombieland Blast Off ride at Motiongate Dubai and the rules with of course 2 being Double Tap.

So we hoped they could capture the magic again in this new sequel, 10 years later, and the cast slip into their characters easily.

Living in the same place with no other interaction has taken its toll on the 4 especially on Little Rock, the youngest of the 4 so she and her sister decide to move on.

Various events will take place that will see them meet new characters, some will become friends, some can not be trusted and some will meet a death from Zombies

These events will lead them to a commune known as Babylon, which has a no weapons policy but thoughts of a peaceful life will end when they face a stand-off when the Zombies locate them.

We are pleased to say that simply if you liked the first one, you will like this one, the various new characters we meet, albeit some in no more than a glorified cameo are a joy.

The kills are as gory as the original and the laughs are as good. Old favourites from the first including Zombie Kill of the Week and even a cameo from a cameo of the first film in the end credits add to its joy.

THE BMAF RATING

5 star film review
Whilst not breaking new ground, this sequel was like a comfortable pair of shows, the same characters with some new faces and new perils plus Zombies was a lot of good fun – 5 Popcorns
